Hey Boston! WP Engine is going to be at WordCamp Boston. We’re even sending a Boston native, Trafton Esler, back to the city for the weekend. Look for our people giving away WP Engine T-shirts (super nice cotton), free-for-life hosting accounts, and generally having a good time.
Of course, WP Engine wants to give a big thanks to all the organizers for their hard work organizing the event. A big WordCamp takes a few months of prep work, and all of the organizers have done a fantastic job to make the whole event possible. We’re grateful to be part of it!
You will know us by our fast blogs
WP Engine is sending really awesome folks to Boston for the WordCamp: Ben Metcalfe, Trafton Esler, and Chris Lauzon. They will be giving presentations, looking to talk to developers about their sites, maybe giving a few WordPress pointers, and definitely sharing stories about WordPress lore.
We’re going to be sponsoring the afternoon break Saturday afternoon during the conference, and we’d love to see you guys and gals out there.
How to Spot our Folks
- You’ll be able to spot Ben Metcalfe by his often orange hair, as well as his very cool British accent. Ben has been active with WordPress since it was called “B2,” and has unique insight into how the platform has become a global powerhouse. Follow Ben on Twitter @dotBen, to see what he’s up to.
- Trafton Esler is constantly smiling and meeting new people. He’s going to be running around with his iPad connecting with as many developers as possible, so keep track of his location on Twitter, @traftonesler, as he checks in at his current location. As our Developer Champion, Trafton connects developers with amazing WordPress solutions.
- There’s a great chance that you already know Chris Lauzon as he tweets from @squirex2. Chris is the Head of Customer Happiness at WP Engine, focusing on providing excellent service and world class support to the WP Engine Community.
This is the part where we talk about how awesome WP Engine is, so prepare yourself for a full-frontal attack of marketing that no mere mortal can withstand:
